The days turn into weeks weeks turn into months were already at the end of the year but it feels like were in an alternate reality and finding meaning in life has been redefined. These last couple of time spans in lock down have given me time to think and reflect on where I am and where I want to be in the future and how a life changing world event can transform your life.

1. It's the simple pleasures the small joys and the little things matter

2. You'll know who your true company is worth with those who are willing to make time

3. Don't waste time just do it take a chance or you'll never know

4. Personal development and self reflection is critical to be at your optimal performance

5. It's the little things that feed your soul

6. Less screen time more face time as social connections help us thrive

7. Take unforgettable experiences over having material things

8. Be grounded with one self by reconnecting with your values and morals

9. Spend wisely invest in the stock market save diligently have back up plans

10. Appreciate the art of the written word and getting lost in a story

11. Pursue your passion but be practical and willing to take risks failure is possible but you learn and proceed

12. Be kind to yourself don't be too hard or critique as that is the mindset you will follow nor compare to others we all have our demons regardless of what we present on social media

13. Don't trust easily be observant of actions and those you keep in your inner circle

14. Grow thick skin don't give your heart or time to those who take it for granted

15. Be disciplined to become the best version of you that will build confidence take care of yourself and not worry of others comments unless their constructive

16. Be mature to accept as you age their is a disconnect with the younger generation good only education only goes so far it's up to maintain your knowledge using various resources

17.Forgive or forget and move forward you can't change people or restore a relationship that isn't wanted to everything is temporary unless you work hard to keep it in tact realize one partner is enough

18. Stretch everyday 10 min of no thinking listen to music take a drive

19. Keep a notebook by your bed ideas can come late after 12 sporadically

20. Don't take for granted self care and being selfish to look after one's mental health

21. Adopt the slow way of living life as in not always having to be on the go and taking in a moment savoring the enjoyment for pleasure e.g. cooking a meal

.22. Taking up new hobbies keep life interesting and help to avoid boredom while keeping you on your toes

23. Be able to control your emotions know it's wrong to judge someone on their race, color, creed, social class, or religion regardless of what other prejudices people hold

  1. Mediating for 5-10 min my day everyday to start my day

  2. Drink 3-4 ounces of water from my Hydroflask

  3. Doing workouts 4 x a week and implementing new forms of exercise

  4. Take walks outside to get fresh air and change my environment scenery

  5. Get enough off screen time reading, doing mind games, and something therapeutic

  6. Invest in stocks and not keep stashing money in savings while spending less on trivial thing

  7. Cutting back on expenses that are not necessary you don't need a new phone for example you can wait till your contract is up

  8. Eating less fast food supporting fine quality meals from resto's or homemade

  9. Stretching daily and mindful decisions to improve my wellbeing and mental being like going to bed at the same time and finally securing enriching products for my skincare routine to be at the top of it's game using them as instructed

  10. Take courses online e.g. crash course on Youtube on new topic's I'm not familiar with to boost intelligence and keep the mind sharp

These are new habits I adopted while in lockdown as it continues it's been a tough year testing our willpower and patience but I will be following through on them as they've really changed the quality of my life for the better I've focused on things I didn't so much in the past as we are always on the go. It's given us the space to put our self care first and ourselves for a change as well as learning not procrastinate on plans nor take our privilege's for granted we had back then when things get better! The word for me for 2021 is mindfulness with goals so as practical as the usual due to restrictions I
