RIP....Astroworld 2021
This story was very triggering for when it came to my knowledge in the news hearing about it just brings that PTSD I experienced at a concert 5 years ago in Toronto. It was at Rebel Nightclub where I went with a friend to attend a French Montana concert it was quite packed and their was no crowd control. He was late and I was close to the front stage at which point when he came out people got hyped and started getting pushy though manageable things escalated quickly when Drake made an appearance. All of sudden I felt very squished and got claustrophobic I DIDN'T feel safe and communicated to my friend at which he signaled we have to get out of here. I had a panic attack right there and felt paralyzed as if I was stuck confused as what to do as tightly bodies surrounded me from every direction and angle. So my friend impulsively put me over his shoulder and ran me and him out I am so lucky to have escaped that situation alive without injuries but I was shook to my core. Not only from how negligent others could be and the basic lack of consideration of one's persona space but displeased how the venue went about it as there was truly no escape exit if something worse happened. I am devastated for those who lost their life that is horrific to see no one cared to get people safety most were too entranced from a celebrity who carelessly just disregarded the lives of others by motioning for help then carrying on as if it wasn't that serious when in fact it should have stopped the concert altogether but the music eerily played on like nothing bad was going down when many were in distress and suffocating to being tramped I will never understand how senseless society has become parents must do better to raise mature compassionate young adults the behaviour of those youth breaking in was despicable. but they leave social media and the music industry to tv for that and it's a genuine shame. More could have done and this was arguably preventable I pray for the families who lost loved one's no one should have die alone and in such a sinister fashion. May those who passed rest in peace music festivals need to be organized with stronger rules and guidelines to follow public apologizes need to be made and whoever was supposedly injecting people with an unknown drug needs to be brought to justice and held accountable refunding tickets isn't enough that's just alarming to me how a good time can turn deadly so quickly even if drugs or alcohol is involved no one should endanger those around them. I just to address this incident because I relate to the situation so heavily it's traumatizing to say the least all those young souls,
REST IN PARADISE <3
